Dr. Meyer has over 14 years of research and clinical experience in the field of child psychology. She received her Ph.D. from the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota, where she acquired a deep understanding of typical and atypical development across all domains of functioning. Following her coursework and early clinical work in Minnesota, she spent three years at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) conducting research with children at high risk for depression and bipolar disorder, and training in child and adolescent neuropsychological assessment. She then went on to UCLA where she completed her clinical training, as well as a 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship at the Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital. Dr. Meyer then joined the faculty in the Division of Child Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she worked as a clinician and researcher.

More recently, Dr. Meyer has established a private consultation and evaluation practice specializing in the comprehensive assessment of young children. She is a frequent presenter to parents and professionals on topics related to early child assessment and intervention, and continues to teach psychiatry and psychology trainees at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Meyer is also a research consultant with Paradigm Research and Consulting, a New York based company that specializes in evaluating the impact of educational technology and innovative educational intervention strategies on children's learning and overall development.

Dr. Meyer has published 20 articles stemming from her own and collaborative research, and she has presented on her own work at many distinguished scientific meetings, including the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Click here for a complete list of publications.
